Glossopdale Community Champions is an annual event that honours and recognizes the outstanding contributions of individuals and volunteers within our local community.
Created by two well known local charities: The Hummingbird Project and The Bureau, we come together to celebrate the selfless efforts and positive impact made by these remarkable community champions.
The inaugural Glossopdale Community Champions Awards, now affectionately known as the 'Gloscars'
(Glossop Oscars!) took place on Thursday 27th March 2025 at Glossopdale School.
There was amazing entertainment from the Aerialists and Performers from Centre Stage, as well as music and songs from Dark Peak Music and Simon Groarke.
We celebrated 12 Category Winners, 15 Highly Commended Runners Up and 4 Special Judges Choice Awards
We had a grand total of 300people at the event, including 120 Finalists!
During the breaks, we also hosted over 20 local groups and charities who showcased their causes in the main reception area.
There was plenty of opportunity to network with other community minded individuals
